Nistkasten | Birdhouse | Nesting Box

Based on instructions by NABU, a German conservation association, I crafted a nesting box for cave brooders like red tails and titmice. It's divided into three sections: body, front, and roof - all easily assembled by simply combining the parts. All components can be printed without supports, making the process more efficient. A 10% infill should provide sufficient strength. Drainage holes are strategically located at the bottom, while vents on either side ensure proper airflow. Mounting holes in the back allow secure attachment to a tree. To safeguard the tree and facilitate dismounting, I used simple gardening wire. The box was printed using PLA, but PETG is recommended for better results.
