Nissan Xtrail T30 Radiator Bush (Upper)
thingiverse
I'm not replacing any worn out rubber parts on my T30 model printers because most of them are past their prime, with mine being a 2004 edition. One particular part that's really difficult to come by is the upper radiator bush. I've chosen to print these bushes using ABS for several key reasons: 1) Accuracy - they need to fit snugly in place (and they do!), 2) Flexibility - they require some degree of elasticity, hence the design, 3) Temperature - it gets extremely hot under there. 4) TPE is an absolute nightmare to print with. Although these haven't been tested extensively, I consider them a temporary fix until I can source new rubber parts. Fortunately, ABS has better heat tolerance which might be sufficient for my needs. I'm not using acetone on the prints because of the risk of melting the honeycomb infill pattern (40%). If they survive without damage, I'll reprint with a solid rectangular infill (100%) and dip them in acetone to prevent delamination. For those interested, inventor files and DWG drawings are provided for your remixing convenience.
