Nissan X Trail T30 Heater control knob Insert

I recently replaced my 2003 Nissan X-trail's heater control knob with a custom-printed version after breaking the original one. The process was relatively straightforward, but I had to get creative when shopping for a replacement. The standard heater control knob on my vehicle is divided into two parts: an outer black plastic piece and a clear inner component that allows light to pass through. When I shattered the clear part, I decided to try my hand at 3D printing a new one using Taulman Alloy 910, which was readily available in my workshop. The printed knob fits reasonably well, although it doesn't quite seat properly at this stage. To get it to fit snugly, I had to apply some gentle pressure, but be careful not to force it too hard, as you can damage the end of the shaft where it slides onto.
