Nissan window latch
thingiverse
Hello everyone, here is another part for a 1991 Nissan D21 (hardbody). This is the rear sliding window latch assembly. In the photo, you can see my earlier attempt to repair the damaged part since the edge cracked and failed to secure the window properly. Installation: To remove the broken latch piece from its housing, I simply used a small screwdriver to punch out the retaining pin holding it in place and then installed the replacement printed part before reinserting the pin. The new part works perfectly! Printing: I printed this part standing upright to minimize support material throughout the middle section. Although I did use a raft for better adhesion to the print bed, it might not have been necessary. For prototyping purposes, I used 15% infill, but after checking fit and functionality, I plan to increase the infill density to make the part stronger in the future.
