Nissan Leaf Strut Cap
thingiverse
So the standard strut cap that comes in the Nissan Leaf is apparently prone to letting water seep inside. The photos show the original cap and the water that gets in, stopping just short of the gasket's edge. Water seeps in on the side. I've designed a new cap that extends down the side to ensure all water runs off outside the gasket. It should be much better at keeping water out, but only time will tell. Check out the original post about the problem here: http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=21723 As I understand it, this new cap should also fit similar Nissan models like the Juke. Update: I've added a model with a more pronounced lip for better retention. However, it may not fit on your cap due to printer accuracy. Try both versions with different scaling factors. If someone has an original cap handy and can measure the dimensions of the clips, that would be really helpful.
