UPDATE: I've upgraded a revised model by eliminating the center component and rounding off the corners while fixing the storage slots so they're more practical. This is something I came up with to provide a solution for rear cup holders in the Nissan Leaf. It securely attaches directly to the plastic cover that protects the access panel to the high voltage battery disconnect (thus making it removable with the cover). It can be fastened using six small #4 screws or if preferred, double-sided mounting tape. It offers two drink holders along with two slots for storing items.
