Nissan Leaf front suspension strut cover

Nissan Leaf front suspension strut cover

The front suspension struts on a Gen 1 Nissan Leaf can easily become waterlogged and rusted. To prevent this from happening, use this cover to keep the rain out. Remember, though, you still need to apply rust prevention to the nut before using the cover - don't rely solely on the cover for protection. Print two of these covers, one for each side of your car. Although the water problem is mainly due to the wiper hole on the driver's side, it's a good idea to print both sides anyway. The design has a flat top with a 5-degree slope, making it easy to print while allowing water to run off. You won't need to use any supports, which means less wasted plastic. It doesn't matter which way you put the cover on - just attach it securely and you're good to go. I used PLA for this design because it's a relatively environmentally friendly option. While I'm not sure how long it will last in this situation, I suspect it will endure for quite some time. This design was created with Tinkercad.
