This design provides enhanced protection for Nissan Leaf battery module terminals. It builds upon existing concepts, addressing several key issues: - The bracket is specifically designed per module, allowing users to combine multiple brackets for parallel or series connections. - This modular approach simplifies the retrofitting process by enabling the installation of new brackets on existing packs one module at a time, without needing to disconnect everything simultaneously. - The bracket accommodates any desired spacing between modules, offering flexibility in pack design and configuration. - It includes ample openings for routing BMS (Battery Management System) and power wires, ensuring convenient cable management. - The bracket is engineered to fit snugly against the bus bars with minimal wobble, featuring a notch on one side that must be aligned with the correct terminal. This precise alignment ensures secure mounting. - Once assembled, the entire unit can be easily closed by attaching a piece of plastic, such as plexiglass, across it using screws. Note that this design was tested with Gen2 modules but may also work with Gen1 configurations.
