I need to replace the ignition key in my 2008 Nissan, and that's exactly what I did - swapped out the broken one for a new one at the ring hole where it snapped off. The case that houses the new key head gives it a spot to clip onto my existing key ring, a simple yet effective solution that doesn't require much tinkering or advanced tools.
