Nipkow experiment (how TV was born)
thingiverse
In this replica, the camera component of Paul Nipkow's invention is meticulously recreated. With just two precision-crafted parts and a compact DC motor, we can relive the thrill that Nipkow felt when he first saw his disk in action. If your motor doesn't fit perfectly, don't worry - the OpenSCAD files are included to help you make any necessary adjustments. The video showcases a photograph of Nipkow displayed on the computer screen, and while it's true that an abundance of light is required for optimal viewing, his image remains clearly visible. In our next experiment, we'll focus on enhancing the signal so it can be transmitted across the globe.
