Nintendo SwitchBox
thingiverse
This is my take on the Nintendo Switch dock, dubbed the "SwitchBox". I quickly grew tired of removing the Switch out of its case to dock it each time. I also wanted something I could hide and simply plug the Switch into for both charging and to play on the TV. I turned the board 90 degrees, which makes two of the USB ports inaccessible, but I don't see what I would ever use them for. If a need arises, I'll redesign, but I really like the power and HDMI ports in the rear. The design has gone through many prototypes to fit just right. The measurements are exact - you will likely need to sand the edges where it fits together on the inside a bit. I used the original screws from the Switch dock. There are enough left over to somewhat put the original Switch dock back together for storage. Note: To take the Switch dock apart, you will need a Y00 tri-wing screwdriver. That is the only specialty tool required. Also, a USB-C extension cable is required. This is the one I purchased: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M3OHPD7/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
