Nintendo Switch Wall Stand / Shelf

Nintendo Switch Wall Stand / Shelf

I was on the hunt for a sleek wall stand to showcase my Nintendo Switch, but every option I found lacked the subtlety I desired - they were all bulky and didn't allow me to route the cables neatly to the left side of the console. So, I took matters into my own hands and created one from scratch. This custom stand boasts precision-cut openings for the hinges on the back panel, providing a snug fit that prevents any wobbling. A 10mm gap between the wall stand and docking station is cleverly designed to accommodate both cables and airflow channels, ensuring optimal cooling performance. Before you start printing this stand, keep in mind that ferrites on your HDMI cable might limit its clearance within the space behind the dock and wall. You can either opt for a different cable or plan accordingly to avoid any potential issues. The hinge slots are strategically positioned to prevent the Switch from tilting forward or backward, ensuring it remains secure and stable at all times. The screw holes are precision-cut for counter-sunk screws like dry-wall screws, making installation a breeze. I mounted this stand so that the cables are discreetly hidden behind our TV, and I'm thrilled with the result - it's almost indistinguishable from the original console.
