Nintendo Switch Screen Magnifier
thingiverse
I got inspired by a post on Imgur: https://imgur.com/gallery/dVGRu. As a visually impaired person, I face challenges with some games when using my Switch in handheld mode. To overcome this issue, I use 180 mm x 120 mm flat PVC magnifier sheets, available on Amazon or AliExpress (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/New-Arrival-180X120mm-Convinient-A5-Flat-PVC-Magnifier-Sheet-X3-Book-Page-Magnification-Magnifying-Reading-Glass/32809533087.html). I print two models, place them on each side of my Switch, and insert the magnifier sheet. This setup allows me to play games like Zelda on the road with ease. Accessibility settings for visually impaired folks on the Switch are virtually non-existent, making this solution a lifesaver. Although the magnified image quality is not top-notch, it's decent enough to get by. I hope my hack can help others who struggle with similar issues. Perhaps someone will improve upon this concept and achieve better results.
