Nintendo Switch Pro Controller D-Pad Replacement
thingiverse
A replacement D-Pad for the Nintendo Switch Pro controller. This remedies the chronic misinput issue with many first-party controllers. Depending on how your print comes out, it can provide a more tactile experience than the stock one, too. Inspired mostly by [this](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4634168). You will need to print a dpad_base and one of the dpad_top files. dpad_top_contoured provides a profile similar to that of the stock dpad, and dpad_top_flat is completely flat on top. Print the base with the plus side down. Print the top with the flat side down (if using contoured). To assemble, just glue together the two sections. The small triangles on each part should line up, and they point towards the top of the controller when installed. You may also want to sand or otherwise smooth the top surface, if you don't like the feel of it. I wrote up a guide [here](https://periwinkle.sh/projects/dpad/) to dismantle the controller. You can find another one on youtube [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wmxN9zytsY).
