Huge thanks go out to Clinton Matos for writing an article that sparked this idea! https://www.htxt.co.za/2018/01/18/attach-the-nintendo-switch-joy-cons-to-your-phone-with-a-3d-print/ Ethan Gach also wrote a great piece about it, which can be found here: https://kotaku.com/joy-con-grips-are-a-lot-more-useful-with-smartphones-in-1822269622 This project was inspired by the model on Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2435511 Please note that these models were designed to fit phones without cases. The Switch Joy-Con Grip is compatible with a wide range of phone models, including iPhone X, iPhone 6, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s+, iPhone 7, iPhone 7+, Pixel XL, Pixel 2 XL, Note 8, Galaxy S8+, Galaxy Grand Prime, LG G4, and Galaxy Tab 3. I'd love to see some remixes for other phone types in the future. This accessory is perfect for watching a stream while waiting for a game to load, having a game map open, accessing the Nintendo Switch Online App, or doing much more on your smartphone. Due to printer variations, you may need to adjust your slicer settings to achieve ideal tolerances. I hope you enjoy this innovative accessory! I designed it using Fusion 360 (https://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/students-teachers-educators), a powerful tool that helped me get the measurements just right. A digital caliper was used to ensure precise component dimensions and accurate tolerances.
