Nintendo Switch Lock

Nintendo Switch Lock

This design secures the Nintendo Switch for communal use without theft risk. The creator acknowledges imperfections and advises caution despite its effectiveness at high density. I work in a University lab where students can play video games and other cool activities in a central location. When new equipment arrives, we quickly set it up to ensure timely access. However, securing the device is essential to prevent theft. This design secures the OEM switch dock and Switch inside while keeping them fully operational. It also allows for syncing controllers by sliding them in place. To build this design, print four side frames, two base frames, and four side supports. The creator plans to share a final version picture as soon as possible. The creator used an acetone/ABS slurry to assemble the parts but suggests using any strong adhesive suitable for the thermoplast material being used.
