# Nintendo Switch Joy-Con Thumbstick Cover Replacement ## Why Create Replacements? During an international trip, I pulled out my Nintendo Switch and noticed that the silicone cover on one of the thumbsticks had slipped off while traveling overseas. Unable to find a replacement online, I was not satisfied with other options available on Thingiverse. Therefore, I decided to create my own replacements. ## How Does it Work? After printing the replacements, they attach by hugging the top part of the thumbstick. I designed a groove inside the covers that allows them to stay on the thumbstick without using glue. They fit snugly but since they are printed with soft TPU, the covers should stretch over the top of the thumbstick—much like fitting a tire onto a bike rim. ## Problems? If you experience any issues, please let me know and I will work to resolve them. Although I am not an expert, I am willing to collaborate on improvements with anyone who has suggestions.
