Nintendo Switch Joy Con Carry Case
thingiverse
Hey Guys, I spent an enormous amount of time developing these custom cases in the hopes of finding something I could use every day. They fit my controllers perfectly right out of the box (printed with a .4 nozzle and .2 layer height on an Ender 3, using 22% infill). As someone who travels extensively for work, tossing JoyCons into my backpack can result in damaged consoles or controllers. To solve this issue, I designed these standalone cases so that I can keep my Switch in a soft pack while storing my Controllers separately and securely in my bag. My initial prototype featured a tiny hole at the top to allow a drawstring to be threaded through for a cinch system tied to the catch on the base. I'm eager to hear your thoughts on design improvements. Additionally, I'm working on a "1 Case, 2 Controllers" version that addresses several user concerns. This is my first iteration of the case, with limited side guards and material management in place. Currently, I'm refining this design to incorporate user feedback. Your input would be incredibly valuable, as most people would pay for a controller instead of investing $3 in one of these custom cases.
