Nintendo Switch Game Card Holder, Micro Edition

This was a remix in the sense that I saw the original model and I really liked it. I desired two things: 1. I wanted to know how to make a screw-lid box with Fusion 360 and 2. I wanted a similar box but I wanted it to hold fewer cartridges and thus be smaller. I created this from scratch in Fusion 360 and tried to mirror the overall design. The only dimensions I used from the original were that of the cartridge openings. I believe it couldn't realistically be smaller and still hold four cartridges.

2018-11-29 update: I made the grip texture on lower.stl deeper and I made the threads fatter so it takes fewer turns to attach/remove upper.stl. I believe this is probably complete.

2018-12-23 update: upper_v2.stl. I made the top 0.5mm taller and reduced the fillet by 0.5mm based on print issues feedback.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Prusa

Printer:

i3 MK3

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.20mm

Infill:

20%

Filament: Hatchbox PLA 1.75 Red How I Designed This ===================

Used Fusion 360's Threads to create Inner and outer threads

Used Fusion 360's Coil to create the grips on the bottom of the lower.

Category: Games
