Nintendo Switch Cradle Wallmount (Large and Small)
thingiverse
One of the biggest complaints I have about the new Nintendo Switch is that the Cradle was designed to be placed vertically on a table top. For most people, this becomes a problem as it will likely interfere with the TV on a stand; especially for Samsung TVs, if positioned on the right-hand side of the TV, you'll probably block the little infrared sensor for the TV remote. I set out to design a wall bracket to be mounted on the side of my TV stand. The design is straightforward but I tried my best to achieve the following: * Design a version for people with smaller print beds (see the small version) * Small Version: Ideal for smaller printers, it utilizes the cradle's hinges to minimize sliding (if you're paranoid, use some double-sided tape) * Big Version: This one has added slide protection * Strength; I chose 12mm minimum on the base and 15mm thick sides * Game Cartridge Storage; the small version holds six games; the large version holds twelve Since I'm unfamiliar with the tensile strength of my print setting (and PLA plastic), I wanted to have an extra layer of reassurance, so I used some L-brackets to provide more support. The L-brackets I had on hand were the free ones that come with many IKEA furniture pieces. The Switch is a significant investment, so please do this at your own risk! I took plenty of photos for reference.
