Nintendo Switch Controller button toppers

These button toppers can be glued onto your Nintendo Switch Joy-Con controller buttons, to make them bigger and further apart, and therefore easier to press.

There are two different options for the Y key, one has the same offset as the other button toppers, and one is a reduced offset so that when the controller is attached to the console it can still fit into its dock. Also included is a blank button topper in case you wish to customize it, in both STL and STEP format.

To attach the button toppers to your Joy-Con controller buttons, use super glue or another strong adhesive. Be aware that these button toppers may be difficult or unable to be removed afterwards without potentially damaging your controller.

Print Settings:

Resolution: 0.2 mm
Infill: 10%
Supports: Yes

Notes:

Print with the letter side down so that the button toppers will fit on your controller well, and you aren’t left with difficult supports to remove.

Post printing:

To make the letters easy to read, after printing in the photos above the top surface was colored with a permanent marker, and then covered in clear nail polish. Another option for high contrast letters would be to print the bottom layer or two in a different colour.

Made in the Rehabilitation Engineering department at the Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation

Part of the Horizon Health Network

Learn more about our centre here.
