Nintendo Labo Key Con
thingiverse
One of the issues I encountered with the original cardboard Key Con was the cardboard part that acts as the hinge is a weak point and breaks easily. Instead of bending material, the source file uses a jigsaw puzzle joint to join the top piece to the bottom piece and while secure, I didn't find it easy to join the bottom and top pieces together. For this remix, I join the button holder, bottom and top pieces together. Scaled up the size slightly. I then slice it in 2. The 2 pieces can then be attached together with screws or a zip tie/string. It does not securely attach both sides together however it makes retrieving the joy con easily and both sides cannot be separated/lost easily. Note: The STL file included does not have proper spacing for the R button which results in the joycon to fail from sitting in the correct position. Instead of altering the design file, I instead took a small wire cutter to expand the hole on the finished print.
