Nintendo Game & Watch Battery Lid

Nintendo Game & Watch Battery Lid

I lost the battery lid for one of my childhood Game & Watch games years ago. I managed to replicate a printable replacement by using the lid of another game as a model. It's a very snug fit, which is exactly what I wanted since these lids are designed not to come loose until you intend them to. I tested it with all three of my Game & Watch units and encountered no problems whatsoever. I also tried using batteries in the games and they worked just fine. Print Settings Printer: Anet A8 Prusa i3 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 15% Notes: I printed mine at 0.1mm resolution while trying to get the dimensions spot on. Once I achieved a good fit, I tried printing it at 0.2mm and it fit just barely, requiring some trimming for a comfortable fit. I experimented with different print directions and found that the current file produced the best results. If you have a high-end printer or perfectly calibrated settings, you can probably print it in any direction, with or without supports. Getting it to Fit The first few times you use this replacement lid, it may be a bit tight but after several uses it should become easier to fit snugly into place. I prefer it that way as opposed to having the lid too small and risking it falling out, which is exactly what happened when I lost the original years ago. If needed, you can always sand down the sides slightly until it works for your Game & Watch game.
