NinjaFlex upgrade for PrintrBot Simple 2014.1
thingiverse
Based on thing:337267, with these modifications: Split into two parts to simplify printing and assembly. The upper part has been reinforced. Now, the lower part is inserted directly into the hot-end instead of being attached to the extruder tension arm. With some hours of printing Ninjaflex during December 2014, it's working properly. It doesn't obstruct when printing PLA; actually, it makes threading new filament a bit easier. NB: This project is still in development. You may need to enlarge the holes in the upper part slightly to avoid interference with the hobbled knob on your printer. Instructions Print at 100% fill for the best results. To ensure reliable performance, I highly recommend printing ninjaflex-support-lower-tube for the lower part; it's simpler and more efficient than this design. It can be a challenge to print right because of its small size; you may need to try multiple prints before achieving perfect alignment. Using Cura on my machine, I scaled up to 1.05 and reduced fill settings to 50% to produce the desired dimensions.
