Ninjaflex Purse

Ninjaflex Purse

I'm always on the lookout for creative ways to use my Ninjaflex filament, and a few days ago I needed some "fashion" items to add some visual flair to my upcoming 3D printing demo at work, so... Designed this stylish small purse or clutch, measuring 7"x4"x2.5", for my display after exhausting all options on Thingiverse without finding the perfect one. It comfortably fits a phone, compact wallet, and possibly other women's accessories like lipstick. Not really my expertise, but I think it turned out remarkably well! Instructions Printed using my Replicator 1 with Ninjaflex filament, and although I'm still mastering this technology... the settings were temperature at 218 degrees, bed temperature of 60 degrees, a printing speed of 50, two layers, and a fill density of 10%. It took around five hours to print. Walls might be slightly too thin; they buckled in the middle part during the print process. I wasn't entirely sure how thick to make them, but I'll revisit the design to increase the wall thickness and reupload the modified file. This project was created with Autodesk 123 Design software, so please feel free to customize it yourself! In the future, I plan on adding holes for two D-rings that will support a strap on the clasps, as they are attached with small magnetic fasteners from Jo-Ann's which I decorated with rhinestones. (The images feature them temporarily taped on – I'll permanently secure them with epoxy at work tomorrow.)
