Ninjaflex LED Spikes
thingiverse
Revive the past with 3D Printed LED Stegosaurus Spikes for your hoodie or costume. The spikes are designed to be printed in hollow Ninjaflex for safety and softness, while the LED lights diffuse through them. Adafruit has provided a tutorial for this project which involves creating solid models using 123D Design, optimized for Ninjaflex. This innovative idea was inspired by matt pinner's washable hoodie with large 3D printed LED spikes and metalnat's Stegosaurus Dinosaur Costume Spikes. The parts are optimized to print on a Makerbot Replicator 2, using Makerware for slicing. Each spike has two sewable tabs for easy attachment to your garment. For printing in Ninjaflex, use the settings: %15 infill, 2 shells, layer height of 0.2mm and speeds of 45/150. Check out the full tutorial here or watch the video here.
