He imported his innovative design and cleverly cut out holes to minimize plastic usage and streamline production. The angles are carefully crafted to eliminate the need for supports, allowing it to be printed on its backside with precision. His design in Cura is optimized for 3 shells, 3 top/bottom layers, which results in approximately 166 million units of filament being used. By incorporating holes into his design, he achieves a significant reduction in filament usage, down to around 128 million units. When compared to the enclosed holed design, which uses roughly 147 million units of filament, the holey design proves to be more efficient. With his custom settings, he adjusts the parameters to 2 shells and 2 top/bottom layers. This results in a further reduction in filament usage for his design, down to approximately 124 million units. The holed design benefits from this adjustment as well, utilizing around 97 million units of filament.
