Nimble V1 Peizoelectric sensor based effector for E3D V6
thingiverse
This unit combines work from LeadingLights, Moriquendi, DjDemonD, and Huntley, leveraging the Nimble to make the entire system direct drive. The design holds a peizoelectric sensor squeezed between the hot end top and the mount base. To complete this setup, you'll need piezo transducers: Murata 7BB-27-4 As 27mm, such as those found on http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/391478525842?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT. For mounting instructions and sensor preparation, refer to DjDemonD's page at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2034152. Huntley's page provides a more detailed description of the effector at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1546124. This design is optimized for the E3D V6 hot end, with the J-Head possibly fitting but untested. Although this design has been thoroughly checked and error-free STL files are provided, it's still a work in progress. For those impatient to test this out before the Nimble is ready, use the alternative mount base. The Nimble Extruder boasts an installed weight of less than 27 grams on your carriage/effector, making it the smallest and lightest extruder available. With ample torque and multiple installation orientations, the Nimble stands out. Find the Nimble at https://zesty.tech.
