Mounting a Chimera on a Vertex K8400 requires careful planning to minimize vertical distance between the Chimera and Nimbles, essential for printing flexible materials. To achieve this, the Y shaft runs through the mount itself, necessitating a 9mm drill after printing the base to ensure a clean hole with adequate clearance for the 8 mm shaft. The positioning results in the Chimera being pushed forward by 20 mm, compromising Y travel. Two M3x14 screws secure the Nimble mount to the top of the Chimera. The bottom bracket attaches to the Chimera's back using two M3x10 screws, limiting this mount's compatibility to Chimera models with side-mounted height adjustment screws.
