This shoe is engineered to be fabricated using a 3D printer with hard plastic, however flexible and semi-flexible materials will enhance comfort significantly. The shoe's structure features a mesh fabric printed in 2D form that attaches securely to the sole via durable zip ties. The flexible sole benefits from a clever hinge system integrated into the footbed. Currently, this design accommodates a child's size 8 shoe, but scaling may impact the fit of the zip ties within the sole. To assemble each shoe, you will need one sole unit, one upper component, one toe piece, and two buckles. Both left and right sole files are provided for your convenience. When printing the mesh fabric, ensure it is oriented to print flat on the print bed to achieve optimal results.
