I successfully replicated an improved version of the original mount design, however, when put to the test, it proved unreliable due to a soft anti-rotation pin. I ultimately settled on this straightforward mount that works flawlessly!! To complete this project, you'll need some additional components and an .stl file from another designer (linked). You'll have to print this file -> https://www.thingiverse.com/download:156270 from MoonCactus's impressive collection of parts. Make sure to print it in its recommended orientation only, as lateral layer lines in this part may cause the mount to fail. Next, you'll need a standard camera bolt, which is readily available at affordable prices on Amazon and eBay. A 7mm O-ring is suggested to secure the bolt to the mount and prevent it from getting lost when switching mounts or not in use. However, it's not essential; other size o-rings or circlips will work as well, so don't worry about finding the exact size. Print information and build instructions: Main bracket: ABS 0.2mm layer height 100% infill Supports needed Print time: approximately 1 hour MoonCactus's Go-Pro adapter: ABS 0.2mm layer height 100% infill No supports Print time: around 20 minutes Build instructions: File down the Go-Pro adapter to ensure a snug fit into the bottom of the mount. Once satisfied, acetone weld or glue both parts together. At this stage, I smoothed out the entire part using acetone for better aesthetics and improved strength; however, it's not necessary. Finally, insert the camera screw through the base, place the O-ring over the top to secure it in position...and you're done! I have every confidence in the mount's reliability and the capabilities of 3D printed parts. Nevertheless, I highly recommend using a safety wire or string (like the one in my first photo) "just in case."
