This lens cover hood combo was designed to fit "Nikon DX AF-S NIKKOR 55-200mm1:4-5.6G ED" lenses pictured above and "Nikon DX AF-S NIKKOR 18-55mm1:3.5-5.6G ED". The combination features two small screw holes on the side of the base to provide added security if needed. To assemble this design, visit Sketchpunk's Mechanical Iris page for instructions, like his page, and follow him on Thingiverse at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:773759. Additionally, visit PrototypeProfessor's Nikon 18-55 AF Lens Hood page for a video explaining the lens hood's functionality at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1600188. This design may not support some fish-eye effects but will work to make it fit. The Iris doesn't completely close; however, the leafs should provide enough support to handle light pokes and bumps. This was made for fun and won't provide an airtight seal from dust or water, as it is simply a semi-functional showpiece. If anyone has questions or is having trouble with the print, send a message, and I'll do my best to help and correct any issues that arise. Thanks for printing this design. A design error in the "base" file was fixed on September 14, 2016. The new "base" file has had its adapter rotated so it sits square with the camera, and its side holes have been filled to make a more uniformed look and provide protection. The spacer file also received modifications for added protection and easier assembly. Print Settings: Printer Brand - Printrbot, Printer - Simple White, Rafts - No, Supports - No, Resolution - .2mm, Infill - 25%, Shell Thickness - .8mm, Print Speed - 60mm/s x11pin & x11leaf need to be printed at .1mm layer height with a 10% infill. It was also printed with a speed of 50mm/s. To print this design successfully, it is recommended that you print all the x11pins in one print and all the x11leafs in one print if possible. If not, print a minimum of at least two at a time. Post-printing, some cleaning may be required on the "base" and "topwithguard" prints. This was done with gloves, safety glasses, and an Exacto Knife; please be safe. On the "base", clean up/cut small pieces of plastic that are underneath the inner lip to ensure the cover properly attaches to the camera. And on the "topwithguard," cut some more on the inner diameter in the hood near the build plate (fingers can be used). There is also a small included support ring that should be removed. Once the leafs and pins have been super glued together, insert the pin into the middle rings holes when assembling.
