Nikon F-Mount Variable Extension Adapter for H25mm Plössl eyepiece (1.25")
thingiverse
As I only have the "National Geographic 114/900 Reflector Telescope AZ", I wanted to try making an adaptor to use my Nikon D3200 and take RAW night shots at 24.2 Mega pixels. I saw some modifications on the "Nikon DSLR to Telescope Adapter" but they didn't meet my requirements. My idea was to use the Eye pieces that came with this Telescope together with my D3200. It worked out pretty well - the adapter fits perfectly on the camera, straight off the printer. The H25mm Plössl eyepiece fits perfectly in the adapter created for it. The Eyepiece adapter fits perfectly in the camera adapter. There's about 0mm to 15mm adjustment possible between the two adapters; I'm not sure if that was needed, but just in case, it might be necessary to adjust the focal length a bit to see if the image can become sharper. This only works with the H25mm eyepiece - not the H9mm or the SR4mm. If it works, the H25mm will be adjusted to hold the H9mm and the SR4mm eyepiece. By using the existing eyepiece, all other accessories that came with this Telescope can be used. You just need to try out what will work - the eyepiece extender tube, the Barlow Lens. The weather in the Netherlands is not good at the moment; there are heavy clouds and no clear spot to see through. So for now: print and mount it, test it and leave some comments if necessary, post a make, post stunning stargazing photos that you made with this adapter, show some love (donations are always welcome). Credit for the F-mount goes to LordFly. Also, show him some love!
