Nikon F Mount Body Cap
youmagine
Here is my Nikon body cap. There are two versions included, one straightforward and flat, another more advanced. Version 1 has an unobtrusive design with a 90-degree overhang but prints perfectly without support. It outperforms version 2 in terms of printing speed. Version 2 boasts better grip, alignment notch, mount type label, and chamfered bayonet lip for effortless printing. With settings at .2 res, 10% infill, and 90mm/s, it takes 50 minutes to complete a print. Both versions fit seamlessly and avoid touching the focus screw or mount lock pin. Some slicers may create an internal spur in thin walls but this does not affect performance. In the photo, the shiny one is version 2 printed on Kapton without a raft, while the white one is version 1 with a raft. All prints are made from ABS material at .2 res with no support. I originally intended to add a smiley face on the flat area so you could spot it through the aperture window of a manual camera but my printer couldn't handle such small details, especially overhangs; it's up to you to draw it in instead 🙂
