BE EXTREMELY CAUTIOUS WITH THIS APPROACH! YOU MAY PERMANENTLY DESTROY YOUR CAMERA'S POWER SYSTEM! PROCEED AT YOUR OWN SOLE RISK! I meticulously measured the EN-EL14a battery to devise a permanent power source for my trusty Nikon camera. The EN-EL14a boasts robust protection mechanisms that ensure seamless authentication by the camera. Nevertheless, it's theoretically possible to tap into a PSU and let the battery handle the authentication process (simply connect both PSU power + and - leads to the camera while linking the battery pin for validation to the camera). The EN-EL14a sports 5 pins: one dedicated to authentication, another monitoring the battery's temperature. I shelved this project, but feel free to take it over if you're up for the challenge! You can use these schematics as a starting point to integrate your own connections into the camera system - again, at YOUR OWN RISK! If you're unsure about what you're getting yourself into, it's best to steer clear of this endeavor. This project demands in-depth knowledge of power electronics to execute safely and effectively.
