A practical lens hood for the Nikkor Nikon AF-S 70-300mm VR lens.\r\n\r\nI acquired a used lens without its hood, prompting me to design one from scratch.\r\nThis custom-made hood is remarkably compact, as shown in the accompanying images, and does not obstruct views (at least on APS-C format cameras).\r\n\r\nThe mounting mechanism relies on friction, which requires some effort at first but becomes seamless with gentle back-and-forth motion.
