Another very straight forward lens hood for the Nikkor (Nikon) AF-S 200-500 mm VR lens.The original Nikon lens hood for the 200-500 is way too bulky for my taste. I love to pack my gear in the smallest backpack possible and I found that the Nikon's provided lens hood took so much necessary space that I designed a new one.Because I built it to be tight when mounted backwards I had to shorten it to not interfere with the pictures (at 200 mm). I find it practical and it still fulfills its purpose. It is unfortunately not compatible with a neoprene cover :/.I provided the Fusion 360 source files for you to modify it as you wish (for a neoprene cover for example).Contrary to my previous design on the 70-300 mm the mount is not done by friction. It is compliant with the original twist and lock thingy, and since the fit it tighter I find it much easier to mount and un-mount than the original lens hood.Happy printing !
