This 3D model was originally crafted with Sketchup 6 before being converted into every other available 3D format. Its native file type is the proprietary .skp format, while a 3ds Max scene specifically tailored for this project utilizes the 2016 edition of the popular rendering software, rendered at version 3.00 in Vray mode. As an accurate replica of a standard lens configuration, I modeled every distinct component within each individual lens segment myself, adding depth and realism to the Nikkor AF-S 18-55mm f/3.5 - 5.6G IF Lens's physical attributes. This precise model even replicates the specific features found in kit lenses often bundled with Nikon D40 digital cameras.
