Nikko Barracuda X front damping rods

I designed a replacement dampening rod for my Nikko Barracuda X RC car since Toystate, the manufacturer, doesn't offer parts for their lower-cost models. I increased the feature sizes as much as possible, assuming 3D printed components would be weaker than the originals. There are two versions of the design: one uses a screw instead of a small 3D printed rod, which is more resistant and currently in use on my car. To enhance durability, I added a thermoretractable tube to the screw thread. The Openscad files for this project are available.
