Shot with a Sony a7S, this was captured from over 160+ high-quality images. Production workflow: Agisoft photoscan efficiently processes photos and generates detailed meshes. 3Ds Max is used for thorough dense mesh cleanup, world zeroing, and transformation adjustments. Zbrush smooths out high-frequency data in the dense mesh, refining its overall texture. Instamesh rapidly performs retopo and downpoly operations on the dense mesh. 3Ds Max and Flatiron work together to quickly unwrap the model, followed by normal and diffuse baking onto low-poly UV's. Quixel is utilized for continued map baking and hand-authored texture painting, allowing for precise control over the final product. The red areas on the bottom of the shoe are a result of holes in the dense mesh, which can be corrected during the diffuse and normal map stages before texture baking in Quixel. Special thanks to Angel Delgado for setting up the shoot and processing the images. Additional appreciation goes to Corinne Cook for assisting with model cleanup and texture authoring.
