The two-stage Nike Deacon rocket was first launched at Wallops Island in 1953, featuring a combination of a Nike booster and a Deacon sounding rocket. It was utilized for atmospheric research over the course of four years and offered a cost-effective alternative to the Aerobee, with the ability to reach altitudes of 160km. The Nike Deacon rocket consisted of several key components: a two-stage assembly and payload system, the Deacon motor and nosecone assembly, the Falling Sphere payload and spring ejection mechanism, and high-resolution visual representations created using 2K texture maps and detailed bump maps. File formats compatible with the Nike Deacon model include 3DS, Cob, DXF, DirectX, Blender version 2.66, DAE, and FBX.
