Nihon Stamp

I crafted this Kanji Nihon stamp purely for enjoyment. It's a swift print and simple to attach to a dowel. Unfortunately, I couldn't upload an editable Tinker Cad model, but it's incredibly easy to make it say anything you like. The stamp quality isn't very crisp; it looks more like a wood block stamp. If you're seeking a unique stamp, I could likely assist you. A flexible filament would probably be ideal, but I haven't used it yet. Print Settings Printer: Monoprice Mini Rafts: No Supports: No Notes: I simply printed it face up. Post-Printing Sanding I carefully sanded the surface to ensure maximum surface contact when applying ink to the stamp and also when stamping paper. I placed sandpaper on a table and dragged it several times. The Handle Next, I cut an approximately 30 mm long piece of 3/8" dowel to serve as the handle. Then, I glued the stamp to the dowel end using regular white craft glue. I didn't print the handle because it made my print time almost an hour. How I Designed This Design I designed this in Tinker Cad by utilizing the text example and rotating it 180 degrees to make the text backwards. Then, I simply copied the Japanese from Google Translate and pasted it into the Tinker Cad prompt. The outer circle is a tube placed over the base cylinder. The diameters are the same (1 cm). The base cylinder is about 2 mm shorter than the outer tube. I then centered the text and made it the same height as the outer cylinder. The height of the entire model is approximately 5 mm. I had to download it as an STL several times and simulate in Cura to ensure that details weren't missing from the text. Letters would disappear with too many characters.
