Nightlight Tree
thingiverse
This is a nightlight that I crafted specifically for a 4-year-old. Its outer shell resembles a tree, although I received numerous comments likening it to an octopus. The centerpiece is produced using glow-in-the-dark material to diffuse the bright blue LED light, and any translucent material could likely achieve the same effect. A super glue bond holds the ring on the bottom in place, allowing for effortless modification of the electronics. A Flora Lilypad battery and switch were utilized due to their availability from a prior project.
