Night Vale Mostly Void Partially Stars

This piece was directly inspired by the tee-shirt design for the Welcome to Night Vale podcast. I've created a multi-layered composition that reflects on the diverse sizes of stars, with the smaller ones positioned farthest away from the viewer. Utilizing four separate layers of acrylic paint, I meticulously traced each distinct star pattern while arranging them according to their abundance and distance, positioning the most distant ones towards the back of the artwork. The words "Mostly void partially stars" were carefully placed on the third layer from the bottom. This was followed by tracing over a pre-existing image in Photoshop and making some minor adjustments before using Adobe Illustrator to refine it further. The finished product was then cut out, mounted onto a small platform attached to the acrylic layers.
