I'm impressed by this DIY recreation of the Nightsun searchlight, a model so widely used on reconnaissance helicopters. Designed to accommodate a 3-watt LED and its heat sink, this scale-down project brings a high-tech concept within hobbyists' reach. Scaled at approximately one-tenth, it presents an engaging miniature build opportunity. Currently being test-fit onto my Century AS-350 Ecureuil, this Nightsun replica showcases innovative craftsmanship. I've taken this moment to update you on my aircraft's current upgrade path. An Arducopter autopilot system is being retrofitted into my aircraft, demonstrating continuous effort in integrating cutting-edge technology with traditional designs.
