Night Light

I created this night light for one very special reason: My autistic son needed a gentle reminder to stay in his room at night, and I wanted to make it easy for him. Plus, anyone can print and build this design with readily available parts. To get started, you'll need 2430mm of LED strip. I chose the RGB variety with remote control and dimmer, which is easily found on online marketplaces like eBay - specifically, this listing is a great option: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/291... First, wrap the LED strip around the top of the tube, leaving a small cutout at the bottom to help keep it in place. Next, connect the cables inside the tube and insert the IR sensor into its designated hole. Then, simply snap the dimmer box into the base. The outside cover is printed with 10% infill using gray ABS filament - I ran out of white, but you can experiment with different colors and filaments to match any room's style. This night light isn't just for bedtime; it's a versatile design that can be customized to fit your unique space. That's it! Enjoy building and using this customizable night light.
