Night fishing pole lights.
pinshape
These are long-lasting pole lights for fishing at night that shine brightly 24-7 for six weeks on a single 9-volt battery. The lights outlast small pole lights powered by cheap $5 batteries that barely last two nights. You'll notice some work is involved in building these lights, but the end result is well worth it. To get started, you'll need to purchase 12-volt LED strip lights from Amazon, along with five-by-ten millimeter battery springs also available on Amazon. Additionally, you'll require bell wire from a hobby store, good quality super glue, and one-eighth by three-quarters inch pop rivets. Don't forget the soldering iron and small electronic parts to assemble the lights. A one-eighth inch drill bit will come in handy for drilling the spring bases to fit the rivets, then trim them down and reattach the springs using a soldering iron. I've included both long and short clips with each light so you can attach it to either side of the pole. Simply slide the light down until it fits snugly against the battery, with the option to place it facing up or down - your choice. To achieve a clean edge on the battery clips, I print them upside down, but they hold securely without any issues. However, if you're concerned about their stability, just slip a small rubber band around the clips and you'll be good to go. This is my design, and I've caught plenty of fish at night using these lights - have fun building and using them!
