Nieuport 28 Cowl
thingiverse
This is a highly detailed 1:5 scale cowl designed specifically for a Nieuport 28 aircraft, but its versatility allows it to be adapted for use on other WW1 models due to the similarity in size and shape among various cowls used during that era. To achieve optimal results, the cowl must be printed from its rim using supports enabled and a brim. Using my Ender 3 printer at a layer thickness of 0.15mm, I estimate a print time of approximately 26 hours. It's worth noting that reinforcing the bridge between the two ventilation openings with glass cloth and resin can significantly improve the cowl's durability, as I encountered a cracked bridge on one of my prints during this process.
