Originally modelled in 3ds Max with a high degree of precision, carefully rigged and unwrapped to achieve optimal performance, then rendered using Mental Ray's powerful capabilities. A meticulously detailed model of the Nieuport 28 C1 French biplane fighter, boasting intricate Cockpit details, a reliable Gnome et Rhone Monosoupape 9 Type N engine, effective Vickers machineguns, and four high-resolution color textures (4096x4096px) applied across the aircraft's surface. Four distinct specular textures are also included (4096x4096px), bringing exceptional detail to the plane's appearance. An additional 2048x2048px texture is applied to the machineguns for maximum realism. Rudder and Ailerons have been meticulously rigged to guarantee accurate animation. The camouflage is authentically modelled after the renowned 94th Aero Squadron, a prominent US Army unit. The Nieuport 28 C1 was an impressive French biplane fighter, developed by Nieuport under the vision of Gustave Delage and showcasing design elements from its successful lineage, notably the sesquiplane fighters, which had yielded aircraft like the Nieuport 17. Built with agility and speed in mind, this model aimed to capitalise on those attributes while offering lightweight handling. Following an unfortunate scarcity of SPADs, American squadrons were equipped with Nieuport 28s between March and August 1918, thus making these planes the first to participate operationally with any American fighter squadron.
