NieR: Automata. Black box frame parts/pin
thingiverse
Recently, I stumbled upon a fascinating Japanese video showcasing stunning jewelry crafted using UV resin and a frame as the base for filling with resin. I also saved a captivating image of a pin from Aliexpress that resonated with my passion for gaming. Inspired by these videos, I decided to attempt making my own pin by filling the holes with resin, just like they did. To my surprise, it worked out perfectly on the first try. However, my acrylic paint developed unsightly lumps within the resin, likely due to its inferior quality, resulting in an uneven color distribution throughout the pin. When I applied a varnish to seal the pin, the remaining silver paint from the box stuck stubbornly to the frame. Visible bubbles also appeared on the pin, but I learned that heating the resin until they escape is an effective solution. Despite these minor setbacks, it was an exhilarating experience that left me eager for more creative challenges.
